Japanese people getting fat?

Just read an article about the consumption of meat products moving in front of Sushi in Japan. Quote: “Figures show that in 2006, for the first time, the Japanese preferred meat over sushi. And in 2007 their appetite for meat increased even further.” Does that mean the Japanese people are moving into the fast food direction of the US? I hope not, because I like my sushi without patties!

Building Demolition

Sometime last week an apartment complex situated in Guangdong (China) was successfully demolished by explosives. It is currently the tallest building demolished in this way in Asia. The task to destabilise the main support columns alone cost 55,000 RMB and the whole process was estimated to have cost around 3 million RMB. Angry Passengers at Chengdu Airport

The Chengdu airport was forced to close down today due to a fire breaking out with its electrical circuit. The fault created a large disturbance which estimated delayed up to 500 flights. There were a lot of angry customers expecting refunds even going into damaging the airport's properties.
