Top 10 Most Peaceful Countries

Institute of Economics and Peace has published a report about the most peaceful countries in the world. Based on the ranking most of the Top 20 countries are small nation with little corruption. Only Japan from Asia made it into the Top 10. Which is quite a feat considering the massive population! It is not easy to maintain a peaceful country when there are more people (if is not obvious already). It has to be noted that Iceland the usual favorite has dropped off the Top 3, due to the collapse of the Iceland Banks (plenty of unhappy people unleashing their anger?). The bottom Top 10 list is some what expected as they are mostly war torn nations or a collapse economy. I am surprised however on the fact that North Korea is not featured in the bottom Top 10 list!

Building Demolition

Sometime last week an apartment complex situated in Guangdong (China) was successfully demolished by explosives. It is currently the tallest building demolished in this way in Asia. The task to destabilise the main support columns alone cost 55,000 RMB and the whole process was estimated to have cost around 3 million RMB. The apartment complex called the Summit Garden was completed in 1995 but since 1997 it has been left empty. Angry Passengers at Chengdu Airport

The Chengdu airport was forced to close down today due to a fire breaking out with its electrical circuit. The fault created a large disturbance which estimated delayed up to 500 flights. There were a lot of angry customers expecting refunds even going into damaging the airport's properties.
