Japanese women aspire to become a fulltime housewife
The usual career aspiration of a Japanese women seems to be that of a full time housewife. However this is not to become a housewife to raise a family but a women who is after a life of free entertainment through the support of their husband. These women are frequently quoted with such phrases as “I want to sleep all the time”, “I don’t want to work” and “I want to be watching daytime TV”. I want to live a stress free life financially supported by someone else basically sums up this idea.
This line of thinking has stretched even to promising graduates from top institutes, citing that finding a financially reliable husband is more of their idea of a future rather then a career. An illustrative example will be a newly graduated 23 y/o women starting work in a resputable firm, but within the first eyear she will already have secured an internal marriage proposal from a top staff and is quickly married off. Then quits her job quickly and leeches her way for the rest of her life. Sounds like the perfect life of a lazy women?
