Bloody Sport - Freestyle Wrestling

Came across pictures of some Japanese freestyle wrestling where they allow items of different nature to be smashed against one another. In this instance some lighting was used and the effect seems very harmful. But surely you can imagine something like that would only cause some cuts and not actual injuries. Either way the sport seems awfully brutal!

Garden Fairy

According to British media earlier this month a women in England took a picture of her garden. In the photograph a fairy like creature was captured. After searching all over her garden she was unable to locate the creature again. From her research of different insects over the internet she has found nothing that looks anything like it. To be it looks like some kind of flying bug, since it is all blurry and such you can’t quite prove anything with the image alone!

Real Life Smurf

A 58 year old man from the US literally turned himself into a Smurf when he decided he would consume some silver materials in order to cure a skin problem. Ten years on the skin of this man is still very pale and blue! While silver is used throughout history as a substance to fight against diseases it has since been banned in the US since 1999 for being too poisonous.

Car Driving Dog

A dog in Cromwell (New Zealand) was involved in a car crash yesterday. A 5 year old Wilco dog was left in Chevrolet ute where he decided he will give the car a spin by shifting the gears. This drove the car slowly forward for 15 meters before it collided with a cafe. The collision damaged the front door of the cafe but luckily no one was hurt. To be honest I was expecting perhaps the dog would drive for a while…lol

Facebook vs Twitter

A British psychologist has recently reported that the use of Facebook can increase one’s intelligence. While the use of Twitter can have the opposite effect. It was suggested that using facebook will have the same effect has playing a strategy game which can help increase intelligence (facebook games perhaps?). Websites like YouTube and Twitter can have an effect of reducing one’s working memory. It was suggested that because the use of Twitter involves short and quick messages the attention span of the its users decreases in comparison with Facebook. Either way I do not think anyone would care and will just use whatever they like!

Stranded Whales

Was reading my local forum (New Zealand) today and pictures of 20 odd whales died stranded on a beach was posted. They looked like a group of pilot whales, certainly not a sight you would like to see. Local authorities had no idea it happened so they all died well before the poster found out.
